Welcome to

MEETING POINT

Meeting Point is exactly that, a meeting point! Our main aim is to connect people from all walks of life through Tanzanian cuisine. Our brand was built around connecting people who would ordinarily not meet. The brand culture is about experiencing the richness of East African culture - specifically Tanzanian culture and by being exposed to all sorts of interesting people from different backgrounds.

We offer rich, flavored and yummy dishes for all dietary needs. If you feel like having something meaty, chickened , fished...we got you! We also have a dedicated menu just for our vegan and vegetarian lovers. We are all about connecting people and what better way to connect than through something rich, flavored and yummy.

About Us

Meeting Point is a fusion of flavourful history and culture, showcasing the beauty and richness of Tanzanian cuisine. Our cuisine has a beautiful history and influences stemming from how Arabian culture/lifestyle influenced our Swahili language to how Indian spices came to our beautiful shores and thereafter incorporated into our daily foods.

In Tanzania, we love to eat good food. The experience is made better because we love to share and to bring people together. In every Tanzanian home you are welcomed by being offered Chai (a spiced based tea, brewed in a melody of spices including cardamom and black pepper). On Fridays, the sabbath day for Muslims - it is customary for Pilau to be served at home amongst friends and family. (Pilau is fried rice with a vegetarian and meat option, spiced with aromatic cumin and turmeric)

As our cuisine draws influences from Arabian and Indian culture- we celebrate the commonalities which we have as people of the world. From how our meat is prepared from the time an animal is ethically slaughtered and to how our elders farmed vegetables and fruits for the next harvest. We, in Tanzania believe in welcoming others first before our own and this is best well said in Swahili – ‘Karibu Tena’ which means ‘Welcome back, again’. It is our brand’s motto and so typical of the hospitality of Tanzanian people.

Something that keep you
Going All day

It is all in the food. South Africa is a melting pot of cultures and a culinary paradise.

From the flavours, to the aroma to the texture. Our ingredients have been well thought out and refined by our chef’s - who originated from the small town of Moshi, Tanzania.

Moshi is nestled on the base of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, where our head chef began her culinary journey.  She learnt from her grandmother and mother to make traditional dishes and incorporates her culinary training to bring the best of both worlds on a plate at Meeting Point.

We would love to share our Tanzanian culture and food with the you. Our offering brings a great representation of Tanzania and the Swahili culture – being a language and culture that is spoken widely throughout Africa.

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
